church camp...I dunno what to say! It was so GREAT! I'm not going to write down everything that happened (like Faith, go read her blog if you want to know every little detail), but rather the highlights. I think. Unless there's too much to write.

Okay, to start, rooming. Faith, Ethel, Eunice. Said that before, i think. Anyway, it was really fun rooming with them. Though Eunice was out of the room half the time :( But at least she came back the last night. Squeezed with Faith and Ethel on 2 mattresses cause I didn't wanna sleep alone in a dark, new, bed and room. Yah, I suppose I was a little scared, but NOT of the DARK.
Funny stuff: games, forfeits, kungfu panda dance thing?, room 511??? (i didn't really get that), all the jokes, serving the hokkien ministry (will mention why later), the everyone-together night, the skit, Jerome and Carissa thing, the kungfu panda dance AGAIN.
Lessons
learnt: humility was my main one. Even though the aim of the "sermon's" and stuff probably wasn't that. But yeah, not gonna write why here. It's kind of private. Also learnt about how to be more welcoming, about missions...those who went you'd know. I really learned a lot from "Facing the Giants", it's a really powerful and inspiring movie. Though all the stuff in the end is a bit exaggerated. Yup.
Elaborations: I promised you a hokkien ministry dinner update right? Well, here it is...
There was these few tables my group (grp 4) was serving. And one table in particular was a bit demanding. Like, the stuff must come now! kind of thing. But in a moderate and tolerable way, i guess. Anyway, there was this man, he wanted a drink, and so I asked him whether he wanted cold or warm water, he asked me for "pi jiu" or, translated, beer. Yes, BEER. So I stood there for awhile and then told him (all in my inadequate chinese) that there wasn't any. Then he started complaining and demanding it, getting all worked up, and I was getting worked up too, and nervous and worried. And and kept on trying to explain, thinking he didn't understand and stuff. Then he said..

that he was joking.
THAT was when I nearly blew. But he was laughing, the whole TABLE was laughing. So I decided to let it be. I was serving THEM anyway. It was a good thing to do though. And I'm glad I did. The old people were just SO HAPPY. It was really rewarding. (I think it was just enough to make-up for the beer incident)

Wow...that was long.
Time to summarise: A lot of other things happened.

okay, I'm done :D
